Fundamental Classes (Introductory Program)

At Companhia Paulista de Jiu-Jitsu, our Fundamental Classes are designed specifically for newcomers to the art of Jiu-Jitsu. This introductory program is tailored to help students gradually adapt to the movements, techniques, and mindset required for success in Jiu-Jitsu. The classes focus on the foundational principles, ensuring that each student builds a solid base in both self-defense and movement techniques.

During this initial phase, students will learn basic yet essential techniques, such as:

  • Proper stance and movement
  • Basic escapes from common positions
  • Foundational self-defense strategies
  • Introduction to positional control and transitions

These classes provide a welcoming and structured environment, allowing new students to progress at their own pace. The goal is to build confidence and competence in the fundamental skills before advancing to more technical aspects of Jiu-Jitsu.

Tailored for Consistent Progress

The Fundamental Classes focus on gradual improvement, ensuring that each student has the time to internalize movements, develop muscle memory, and understand the core concepts of Jiu-Jitsu. This approach is designed to minimize the risk of injury and frustration while maximizing learning and personal growth.

Once the student has a solid grasp of the basics, they will transition into more advanced programs, where they can further develop their skills in both self-defense and sport Jiu-Jitsu.
